Applicabilities
TDY series belt conveyors are widely used for transporting non-abrasive or semi-abrasive bulk powder-shaped or granular materials in industries of building materials, brick making, mines, road construction, metallurgy and so on. For operating conditions with requirements for cold resistance, heat resistance, anti-explosion and flame retardancy, special rubber conveyor belts and corresponding protective measures will be chosen and taken.
Working Principle
The belt conveyor for sandstones is mainly composed of two endpoint drums and the closed belt tightly mounted over them.
The drum that drives rotation of the conveyor belt is the driving drum (transmission drum); the other drum is only for changing motion direction of the conveyor belt, called steering drum.
The driving drum is driven by the motor through the decelerator. The conveyor belt is dragged reliant upon the friction between the driving drum and the conveyor belt. Generally, the driving drum is mounted at the discharge end to increase the tractive force and facilitate dragging.
The materials are fed through the feed port and fall on the moving conveyor belt. They are transported to the discharge end for discharge by friction of the conveyor belt.
