Copper Ore Crushing
Copper ore refers to ore containing copper elements or copper compounds. In the natural distribution of copper ore, it mainly exists in the form of chalcopyrite, as well as bornite, chalcocite, azurite, etc. In the crushing and sorting process of copper ore, after a series of processes such as crushing and beneficiation, it becomes copper concentrate or copper ore sand with a high copper grade. Copper concentrate needs to be smelted and extracted before it can become refined copper and copper products.
The copper ore crushing and sorting process mainly includes four processes: copper ore crushing, grinding, beneficiation, and copper concentrate drying. In the copper ore crushing process, the use of three-stage closed-circuit crushing is a relatively mature copper ore crushing process, which can complete the crushing of copper ore and the separation of some waste ore, effectively improving the subsequent grinding efficiency; in the grinding process, a two-stage one-closed grinding combined with a ball mill and a classifier is used; the beneficiation process mainly uses a mixed flotation process.

It is mainly composed of: jaw crusher + cone crusher + high-efficiency impact crusher + circular vibrating screen + high-pressure roller mill. Auxiliary equipment can be added according to the specific needs of customers: magnetic separator, dryer, dust removal equipment, feeding system, dust collection device, etc.
Process description:
1. Crushing section
The vibrating feeder sends the copper ore raw material into the jaw crusher for crushing; the crushed material is sent to the cone crusher (coarse crushing) by the conveyor belt for crushing, and is transported to the vibrating sorting screen by the belt conveyor for screening. The stone that meets the particle size is then sent to the cone crusher (fine crushing) for secondary crushing, and the unsatisfactory material is returned to the cone crusher (coarse crushing) through the conveyor belt for re-crushing; the material coming out of the fine crushing cone crusher must also be screened by the vibrating sorting screen, and the unsatisfactory material needs to be returned to the fine crushing cone crusher through the conveyor for re-crushing; the satisfactory material is sent to the high-pressure roller mill through the conveyor for grinding and crushing.
2. Grinding section
The copper ore material crushed by the crushing section enters the ball mill for re-grinding to meet the material requirements of the subsequent process. The ball mill is usually combined with a classifier to form a grinding and classifying unit for operation. The ball mill grinds the processed material, and the classifier divides the ground product into qualified materials and unqualified materials. The unqualified product returns to the ball mill for re-grinding to improve the grinding process. The classifier operation and the grinding operation entered by the graded return sand constitute a grinding closed circuit section. The classification operation can be pre-classification, inspection classification, control classification, or both classification operations.
3. Magnetic separation section
Due to the different copper content of copper ore, multiple mineral processing processes can be used for mineral processing. The most widely used ones are gradient magnetic separation, gravity separation, flotation, etc.
4. Drying section
The copper powder after flotation is sent to the dryer. The drying process in the mineral processing process is mainly to remove the moisture content of the selected copper powder to obtain high-quality copper concentrate.
